The Swiss watches announcement comes despite concerns about faltering economic growth, as exports of watches don’t seem to be falling. Instead, sales of Swiss watches seem to inch towards a record high. Latest data show that Swiss watch exports were up 16.4 percent in August, while for the first six months of 2011, they were up 19.2 percent, reaching 8,7 billion francs (7.25 billion euros; $9 billion). And according to data from the Swiss Federal Customs Association, exports of Swiss watches rose 21 percent in September to 1.79 billion francs ($2 billion), which means the total value of watches exported in the first nine months of the year to 13.5 billion francs.
Here, at eWatches we have a vast selection of Swiss watches, which includes luxury watch manufacturers like Breitling and Tag Heuer, which we sell at a very competitive price.
